How It Works

The Print House · Printed & Embroidered Clothing

Custom clothing made simple.

Choose your garments, send us your logo and tell us what you need. We’ll guide you through artwork, decoration, approval, production and delivery so ordering branded clothing for your team is straightforward from start to finish.

How it works

From idea to finished garments in five steps

You don’t need to be an expert in clothing, print or embroidery. Send us the basics and we’ll help with the rest.

1

Choose your garments

Pick the styles, colours and quantities that suit your team. Mixed sizes and colours can be included in the same order.

2

Send us your logo

Upload or email your logo or artwork. Vector artwork is ideal, but if you only have a JPG or PNG, send it and we’ll review it.

3

We prepare the artwork

We’ll set the artwork up for the chosen decoration method and confirm positioning, sizing and any applicable setup charges.

4

Approve your proof

You’ll have the opportunity to check the design details before production. Production begins once the order and artwork are approved.

5

We produce & deliver

Your garments are decorated, quality checked and prepared for delivery or collection using the arrangement agreed with your order.

Before you order

A few things make the process even quicker

Your logo or artwork

Send the best-quality version you have. If you have vector artwork such as PDF, EPS, AI or SVG, that is particularly useful for print.

Approximate quantities

Tell us how many garments you need. Quantity can affect the most suitable decoration method and overall price.

Sizes and garment types

You can mix sizes. If you are unsure which garment is right for your team, tell us how it will be used and we can help narrow the options.

Your deadline

If you need the order for a specific date or event, tell us at the start. Lead times depend on stock, artwork approval and production capacity.

Decoration

Print or embroidery?

Both can look excellent. The best choice depends on the garment, the artwork, how the clothing will be used and the finish you want.

Embroidery

A durable, premium finish created by stitching your design directly into the garment.

  • Great for polos, fleeces, softshells, jackets and workwear
  • Ideal for chest logos and professional uniform branding
  • Artwork must first be converted into an embroidery-ready file
  • Very small text and fine detail may need to be simplified
Print

A flexible option for logos, larger designs, detailed artwork and prominent front or back branding.

  • Great for T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and many workwear garments
  • Well suited to larger logos and multi-colour artwork
  • Useful for back prints, event clothing and promotional garments
  • The most suitable print method depends on the garment and design
Not sure which one you need? Send us the logo and tell us what garments you’re considering. We can recommend the most suitable option.
Artwork & logos

We’ll help get your branding production-ready

Good decoration starts with good artwork. We’ll review the file supplied and let you know if anything needs to be adjusted before production.

What happens to my logo?

For print, artwork may need to be cleaned up, resized or converted into a production-friendly format. For embroidery, the logo is digitised into stitch instructions for the embroidery machines.

Any relevant artwork, digitisation or setup charges will be confirmed as part of your order.

Sizing

Ordering for a team doesn’t mean everyone needs the same size

Mixed sizes can be ordered. Where available, use the garment-specific size guide rather than assuming every brand fits the same way.

Check the size guide

Measurements can vary between brands and garment styles, so check the product information before finalising sizes.

Different staff, different sizes

Your order can contain a size breakdown to suit individual team members rather than one standard size.

Check before personalising

Once garments have been decorated or individually personalised, returns and exchanges are generally restricted unless there is a fault or supply error.

Pricing

Clear pricing based on what you actually need

The final price depends on the garment, quantity, decoration method, number and size of logos, and any individual personalisation.

Quantity matters

Larger orders can often be more efficient to produce, so pricing may vary by quantity. For larger teams or repeat requirements, ask us for a tailored quote.

Setup & personalisation

Where artwork setup, embroidery digitisation, names, initials, job titles or additional logo positions create extra work, any applicable charge will be identified before production.

VAT treatment, minimum order quantities and specific promotional pack terms can be confirmed on the relevant quote or product page.

Lead times

When will my order be ready?

Turnaround time starts once all key details are agreed, including garment selection, quantities, artwork and payment or account arrangements where applicable.

Stock availability

Some styles, colours or sizes can occasionally be unavailable. If that happens, we’ll discuss suitable alternatives with you.

Artwork approval

Changes to artwork or delayed approvals can move the production date, so prompt proof approval helps keep your order on schedule.

Need it for a date?

Tell us before ordering. We’ll let you know whether the requested deadline is realistic based on stock and our current production schedule.

Reorders

Coming back for more should be easier

Once we have previously approved artwork and branding details on file, repeat orders can be much simpler. Tell us what changed — for example new staff, different quantities or extra sizes — and we can work from the previous setup where appropriate.

Individual personalisation

Names, initials, job titles, numbers and additional print positions can be added to many garments. Send us a clear list of what belongs on each item and we’ll confirm what is possible and any additional cost.

Frequently asked questions

Answers before you need to pick up the phone

Can I mix sizes in one order?
Yes. A team order can contain a range of sizes. Use the size guide for the specific garment where available, as sizing can vary between brands and styles.
Can I order different garment styles or colours?
Usually, yes. Tell us the mix you are looking for and we can confirm the best way to structure the order and whether the same decoration works across each garment.
I only have a JPG or PNG of my logo. Is that okay?
Send the best file you have. Vector artwork is preferred for many print jobs, but we can review JPG, PNG and PDF files and tell you what is usable or whether the artwork needs work.
Do I need to know whether I want print or embroidery?
No. Tell us the garments you are considering, how they will be used and send the logo. We can advise which decoration method is most suitable.
Will I see the artwork before production?
We confirm the key branding details before production. Check spelling, logo details, position, colours and personalisation carefully when approving any proof or order confirmation.
How long will my order take?
Lead times depend on garment stock, quantity, artwork approval and our production schedule. If your order is needed for a fixed date, let us know before you place it so we can advise what is achievable.
Can I reorder the same clothing later?
Yes. If the previous artwork and branding setup can be reused, repeat orders are generally more straightforward. Just tell us what you need this time.
Can you add individual names or initials?
Yes, on many garments. Names, initials, job titles and other individual details may carry an additional charge. Supply the personalisation list carefully and in a clear format.
Can I supply my own garments for decoration?
Contact us before purchasing or sending garments. Acceptance depends on the garment, material, decoration method and whether we are satisfied it is suitable for production.
Can I order a sample before committing to a larger order?
Contact us with the garment you are considering. Sample options, availability and any cost depend on the product and the type of order.
What happens if a garment or size is out of stock?
We’ll discuss the options with you. Depending on your requirements, that may mean waiting for restock, selecting another colour or choosing a suitable alternative garment.
Can personalised garments be returned or exchanged?
Because decorated and individually personalised products are made specifically for the order, returns or exchanges are generally restricted unless the goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly. Please check sizes and approved details carefully before production.
Do you offer delivery or collection?
Delivery and collection arrangements can be confirmed with your order. Any applicable delivery charge or delivery terms will be made clear before the order is completed.
Do your prices include VAT?
Check the relevant quote, product page or order confirmation for the VAT basis used. Business quotations and promotional pricing may be shown ex VAT where stated.
